Guzmanias have oh so colourful flowers & are easy care houseplants. This one is popular because of its large, star shaped bloom. What sets it aside from many of the other bromeliads is that it is available in a wide range of flower colours.
How do you take care of a Guzmania?
This plant grows well in part to full shade and does well under artificial lights. Use potting soil made for bromeliads or orchids and water sparingly. Air needs to be able to circulate around the roots. Keep water in the centre cup of the rosette especially in the summer and mist to increase humidity.
